My name is Arden Schraff.

I’m currently available for freelance writing. Connect with me on LinkedIn and Instagram.

I’m based in Washington, DC and originally from Phoenix, AZ.

I graduated from Duke University in 2021 with a major in English and double minors in Creative Writing and Pyschology.

I love fiction, Survivor, art, and learning.

My dream is to be a best-selling author with a culture-focused opinion column or newsletter. Besides accomplishing that small feat, you can find future me as an eccentric rescue-dog-lady.

Check out my Substack Newsletter My Little Darlings for my latest musings, cultural critiques, and TV & movie recommendations in my series What’s Hot and What’s Not.

The Borgen Project

Recently, I completed a Writing Internship for global non-profit The Borgen Project. Check out my articles on their blog covering social media’s effects on foreign aid, the end of the war on drugs, and various global crises like the Cholera outbreak in Malawi. Also check out my pillar article featured in the magazine: USGLC an Ally in Foreign Aid.

My published creative writing is housed on the female-led university publication: The Coven Magazine. I wrote as a columnist throughout my time at Duke University and covered mental health, culture and entertainment, and life as a college Junior and Senior during COVID-19.

Dictionary of Art Historians

At Duke, I researched and wrote biographical entries on historically under-represented, female art historians. Check out my entries on: Anna Banti, Anna Maria Brizio, and Maria Accascina.
